Topscan assist NHS County Durham and Darlington with the implementation of their recently purchased Micad IPR.

NHS CDD commissioned Topscan to provide on-site assistance and guidance in the implementation of their Micad system to ensure that functionality was achieved to realise a return on their investment from an early stage. Following discussions with staff, we assisted in the structuring of the system, utilising our practical and actual "hands on" knowledge to ensure that time was utilised efficiently and core data was identified, collated and made available for population. We provided guidance as to the most practical and lean manner to adopt in the configuration of the IPR and oversaw the project from inception to completion.

We also assisted in ensuring that the fundamental foundation of the system was developed by uploading and publishing accurate CAD drawings of all buildings within the Estate, including the integration of departmental, function and other key data.

As a result of robust Project Management, staff were able to utilise information from the system soon after inception to complete important Department of Health Estates and Facilities related data requests as well as associating costs to space and assessing property utilisation.

The IPR is now comprehensively populated and is ready to receive the Help Desk Module, which will allow the Trust to receive, distribute and monitor reactive and planned maintenance throughout their estate.
