University of Sheffield engaged Topscan to scan and index its Operation & Maintenance and Project manual library. These files are now available to view as PDF files on their MICAD Internet Property Register. The project has allowed the University to reduce the amount of files they hold on site, increase the efficiency of the office by reducing the time it takes to locate information, removes the risk of loss and accidental damage and allows the files to be shared amongst key stakeholders including external suppliers.

Each institution is required to provide key information on their building portfolio to enable cost and income analysis, space management, environmental sustainability and condition and repair, all of which rely on accurate CAD drawings and room data which topscan is able to provide through its surveying and data collection services.
Our most recent project is for Leicester University where Topscan has been engaged to survey and create accurate CAD drawings of its residences. This comes on the back of a similar project undertaken in 2007 where we surveyed the Universities academic buildings.
