Topscan have been working with MICAD IPR users for several years, which has allowed us to gain an in-depth and practical knowledge of the core IPR and associated Modules. This knowledge has been achieved over an extensive period of time, working closely with IPR Users to gain an understanding of their actual requirements during projects to implement, populate and update IPR's within the NHS, Education and Commercial sectors.

As an approved MICAD Implementation Support Partner , Topscan now have been given responsibility for the training of all IPR users on all IPR modules available from from MICAD. This will allow MICAD to focus on the development of the IPR and delivery of new exciting modules.

The IPR is designed to be intuitive even to non-computer literate individuals who perhaps use the web for simple tasks. As we recognise that there are several different types of users of the system, these being day to day users, administrators and Suppliers ( i.e contractors and consultants), we have developed Module specific and practical user focused courses to meet these differing requirements.

"Welcome to Micad IPR" Course

This course is aimed at new users of the system and is focused on how to Day to Day use of the IPR covering all areas including Navigation, Report Account set up through to updating modules, custom and bespoke reports and updating / adding information, graphic reports.

Asbestos Module

This provides users with an in depth knowledge of the Asbestos Module and MICAD Lite from viewing bird eye and dash board reports through to adding and updating information and mass updates following re-inspections. This course is aimed at people who have responsibility for managing asbestos and is open to IPR users as well as Asbestos Consultants wanting to update clients IPR following surveys, re-inspections or removal projects. The majority of Asbestos Module users insist that training is completed by for this module prior to any data being submitted by suppliers.

These training sessions cover how to set up and use the property appraisal module for a range of practical uses. This covers condition surveys, multi facet surveys, fire reform order, cleaning and other bespoke survey data capture upload procedures.

This course is focused on getting the most form your IPR system from the outset. It provides an appreciation of the wider system capabilities and demonstrates the importance of spaces records and drawings when setting up the system. It also focused on the document publishing and compliancy tools in the system to enable users to demonstrate compliance with required statutory and non-statutory risks.

Bespoke Client Training

These sessions are tailored to client's needs in term of covering the modules and functionality that the client wants to cover. These sessions are for up to 3 delegates. Small groups allow us to use task orientated techniques while keeping the sessions personalised, concentrating on the basics and working into more specialised areas throughout the day.

All training sessions have been developed to take place at your premises using live information that is familiar to allow for all attendees to take the most from the courses. Should you choose not have the training at your premises to avoid interruptions then we can offer alternatives venues including the Topscan or MICAD offices.

Each training session is designed to be hands on and to give the users the experience they need in order to make best use of the IPR system. Principally there are two ways to access training

Group Training Courses

Throughout the coming months we will be announcing scheduled training courses at venues across the UK. These schedules courses will focus on a wide range of Modules and topics are will be of interest to New IPR users, those wanting some refreshers training or people wanting an overview of a Module they are yet to adopt.

These courses are open door sessions bringing together several people from different organisations and sectors. Each course delivers a detailed understanding of a specific modular part of the system whilst providing an overview of other capabilities within the IPR. All attendees on these courses will be asked to complete a questionnaire detailing their knowledge or the system and what they would like to achieve on the day.
